Admission Policy

The institute strictly adheres to the prescribed admission procedures, seat allotment, and fee structure, as per the directives of the Competent Authority, effective at the time of admission.

Eligibility Criteria
JEXPO: Passed/appeared* 10th standard from any recognized board/council/institute with at least 35% aggregate marks (without additional/optional subjects, and no rounding-up).
VOCLET:
- Passed/appeared* (10+2) from the West Bengal State Council of Technical & Vocational Education & Skill Development (Vocational Education Division).
- OR Passed 2 years of ITI (single certificate) after Madhyamik or an equivalent examination.
- OR Passed/appeared* (10+2) with Physics & Chemistry as compulsory subjects and Mathematics or Biology from any recognized board/council/institute.
- OR Passed/appeared* (10+2) with Mathematics from any recognized board/council/institute.
- OR Passed/appeared* (10+2 Science) with Technical Vocational Subjects from any recognized board/council/institute.
Note: “Appeared” refers to candidates who have appeared for the qualifying examination and are awaiting results.

Eligibility Criteria
- Minimum 45% aggregate marks and 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) in Higher Secondary or equivalent examination.
- Qualified in the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) or JEE (Main) in the current year, as recommended by the Central Selection Committee.
Lateral Entry:
- Passed a Diploma from an AICTE-approved institution with at least 45% marks (40% for reserved categories) in an appropriate branch of Engineering/Technology.
- OR Passed B.Sc. with 45% marks (40% for reserved categories) from a UGC-recognized university, with XII standard Mathematics as a subject.
- Admission through lateral entry is based on merit in the JELET (Joint Entrance for Lateral Entry) conducted by the WBJEE Board.

- Candidates must secure a rank in P-GATE to be eligible.

- Selection is based on Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI).
